More than a million Uyghur men, women, and children have been displaced. There are an estimated 60,000-100,000 Uyghurs settled throughout Turkiye. They have all escaped extreme religious and cultural persecution to seek refuge. The vast majority are women and children without husbands or fathers, without stable income, living below the poverty line and in dire need of the most basic resources.

For the large numbers of Uyghur women and children refugees in Turkey, they face the prospect of never seeing their spouse, father, or families, ever again. Imagine not knowing where your family members are – or if they are alive?

Many Uyghurs have come to Turkey to seek refuge. Uyghur children are being educated in privately run education centers, however, they are struggling to make ends meet and they need your support. We have met with many of the Uyghur orphans, widows, teachers, and those living in Istanbul, and we were shocked to hear their stories.

At Droplets of Mercy, we have vowed to ensure our Uyghur brothers and sisters know that we have not forgotten them and we will support them through this difficult time.

Our main focus with donations is to provide sustainable development to their community. We aim to acquire a multi-purpose building which will provide food, clothing & education.In the long term, we want to establish a food bank, teach the women how to sew, and have an education centre for the children.
