On September 23rd, Lebanon experienced its deadliest day in nearly a year. Israeli airstrikes devastated civilian areas, resulting in the tragic loss of 274 lives, including 21 children and 39 women. Over 1,024 people were injured, and more than 116,000 have been displaced by the violence. The strikes have ravaged entire communities, leaving families without homes and access to basic necessities.
The Impact:
The bombing has left 24,000 residential buildings damaged or destroyed, and entire neighborhoods are struggling to cope. Hospitals are overwhelmed with the wounded, and critical infrastructure such as ambulances, fire trucks, and health centers have been targeted. As families flee the violence, schools and institutes have opened their doors to shelter those displaced from southern Lebanon.
